If you visit the official site of The Secret you will see that you can browse the various success stories by keywords. Instead of using those, search the collection by your favourite words. That way you'll be more probable to find stories that call out to you.
Once or 100 times?
Some of the books say, if you want something it's enough to send out your wish only once. Others claim you should keep repeating your wish over and over, again.
Now, what's the truth?
Well, I believe you have to differentiate between your wishes.
The Secret says, you should use the present tense when communicating your wish. For example if you want to be beautiful, you should say: I'm beautiful.
The Secret also states that if you want a new car, you are to order it from the universe as if you were making an order from a catalogue. The book says it's enough to make your order once, just like you don't order the same thing twice in real life either.
And here's the difference.
When you are communicating your wishes in the present tense you should keep those wishes repeating. In these cases you are usually wishing for a state and thus you are trying to convince yourself about the validity of that state. To create a certain atmosphere you need repetition. That's how you conquer your doubts and increase the level of your positive energy at the same time.
Whereas when you are playing the I-order-from-a-catalogue game you are usually after an object and it's enough to make your order only once, like you would do in a real situation like that.

The importance of the meaningless
In Michael J. Losier's book there's a form I find very useful. It goes something like this:
Today millions of people get a nice postcard from someone they love all over the world.
Of course you can change the time adverbial, the number of people involved or the action according to your own liking.
He suggests the use of this form to tackle your doubts but it's also very useful if you want to increase the level of your positive energy.
Whenever I use this form I feel like a magician, who with the sweep of her wand can make her own thoughts come true. It's a game I enjoy enormously so very often, only for the sake of creation I think thoughts like this:
At this moment millions of people are petting their cats/dogs all over the world.
You could say that this is totally meaningless but this meaninglessness has a huge advantage: you can absolutely imagine it and believe it without doubt.
It's a good thing to practice on meaningless things so when you decide to use this form for something very important you will have no doubt left to tackle thus it'll guarantee your success.
